
Network Computing Architects and Madrona Solutions Deploy a New Customer Infrastructure
Overview
Network Computing Architects (NCA) is laying the business systems foundation needed to support its ambitious growth plans, with a Microsoft Dynamics-based solution designed and implemented by Madrona Solutions Group and The Resource Group.
NCA is one of the leading providers of networking and telecommunications products and services in the western United States. NCA service offerings include telecommunications services, network backbone, remote access solutions, information security and productivity.
The new systems infrastructure involved the retirement of NCA’s hosted PROMYS business management software. The following components are part of the solution for NCA:
• Microsoft Dynamics CRM for customer, lead, and opportunity management, quoting, sales forecasting and pipeline management, and marketing campaign tracking.
• Microsoft Dynamics GP Project Accounting for project-centric financial management.
• Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Portal for time and expense tracking for service delivery professionals.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 for the database platform for the applications and for the data warehouse
• Tableau Professional for ad-hoc reporting and analytics, and executive dashboards.
The future roadmap for the NCA solution includes enterprise project management, and customer service issue tracking.
Project Highlights
Improved Visibility
A critical need for NCA was improved visibility - both to sales forecasts by sales representative, product line, and practice, and to project profitability.
Reduced Administrative Overhead
The new solution will reduce duplicate data entry into multiple systems, and simplify time and expense entry for NCA staff.
Streamline Processes
NCA will use Dynamics CRM to streamline the process for allocating pre-sales resources to sales opportunities.
