Seattle Architecture Firm Builds A New Business Development Platform With Microsoft Dynamics CRM
A leading global architecture, planning, and design firm recognized the need to better manage their client development activity across the organization, and turned to Madrona Solutions Group and Microsoft Dynamics CRM for the solution. A critical selection criteria was the ability to support their sophisticated client development and account planning processes, which include a careful analysis of client stakeholders, and planning of account-specific client development activities across a multi-person client team.
In a ten week initial project, Madrona Solutions Group facilitated application design sessions with a diverse group of firm representatives, configured the application to support the firm's business process and sales methodologies, migrated data from existing applications, developed custom management reports, and trained both users and administrators on the use of the application. The project was delivered on schedule and budget.
Future phase enhacements may include integration with the firm's SharePoint intranet and project management applications, as well as advanced business analytics and reporting.
Focus on the User Experience
Recognizing that user adoption is the critical factor in CRM success, the user experience was a central focus of the application design. The seamless integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Outlook was key to structuring a tool that could meet the firm's business needs without encumbering users.
Phased Implementation Approach
Madrona Solutions recommends a phased approach to CRM implementation - this allows for reduced time-to-value, helping to build momentum behind CRM with early wins so that it is embraced as part of the company infrastructure. In addition, lessons learned can be applied to future phases to make them more successful.
The initial Dynamics CRM deployment was delivered on schedule and within 2% of the estimed project costs.
